moulin rouge

The image “http://tf.org/images/covers/MoulinRouge-tf.org-free-2008.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

In class we watched MOULIN ROUGE. I loved this movie. I was super excited to finally see it cuz when i was younger i somehow wasnt allowed to. hahaha. Its a pretty sad story about forbidden love. The ending was unfortunate. In a way i didnt expect it. I thought that the two main characters would somehow end up together. Somethings i really liked were the colors, dancing and singing. The music was cool cuz like its something modern, but kinda with a twist. The characters play their parts really well but in certain parts it looked like Ewan McGregor was lip singing. Can't really make a big deal out of it because i used to have a crush on him. ever since he came out in STARWARS! hahahah. Anyways it was a great movie

koyaanisqatsi

kinda forgot to blog about this video!!
hahah
i found that the movie's title means "crazy life, life in turmoil, life out of balance, life disintegrating, a state of life that calls for another way of living"
and i think that the director, Godfrey Reggio, really showed this.
the music was by Philip Glass.
it showed me how there are so many places ive never seen
after this i so want to go to those places!!
it also  shows people doing what they do  which shows like a part of everyday life
the effects  the director played with were pretty fun!
pretty cool movie!!
:]

the divinge bell and the butterfly

We had to watch the movie The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. I got to say I really liked it!! It was really interesting and sad! The poor guy cant move or say anything. He is a vegetable. And yet his imagination is his way out.
I dont really understand the title but the movie is what really matters to me not the title. Another thing i love about the movie is that it is a true story and how Mr. Bauby wrote his story while he all messed up!!
:]

Oh well we finished watching the movie! I still think its really good! I found out what the title means! yay! hahaha. I think the symbolism behind the butterfly is that he feels like he is being reborn and growing,  and the symbolism behind the diving bell is that, that is what they would call the people who would go underwater. while he was doing that he had his stroke.
Another cool thing is that the movie goes in reverse. It goes from him having a seisure to him having a stroke. And he had had the stroke first. The director, Julian Shnabel, did a great job making this  movie!
